Multiple Opportunities in Pharmacy

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dispensary pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage stock levels, coordinate orders, and ensure everything is running smoothly.
  • Mentor and guide pharmacy technicians, pre-registration trainees, and pharmacy assistants.
  • Work closely with the Principal Technician to identify areas for improvement and implement new procedures.
  • Review outstanding tasks, update stock records, and prepare the pharmacy for the next day.

Requirements

  • BTEC / NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with GPhC
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate
  • Post qualification hospital experience
  • Experience in supervision of staff
  • Patient counselling

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with the CMM (formerly JAC) pharmacy computer system
  • Understanding of and participation in data collection for KPIs and audit
  • Dispensing/supply of clinical trials

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to organize own workload and that of others
  • Computer literate for dispensing and stock keeping/issue purposes
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work
