Job Title: Inspection Team Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Inspection Team within the Inspection division.
  • Coordinate with external inspectors as necessary.
  • Evaluate the performance metrics of the inspection personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Inspection Supervisor to implement optimal practices that enhance productivity.
  • Guide and support trainee inspectors in their development.
  • Confirm material specifications align with the work orders.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of materials for inspection purposes.
  • Highlight any conditions that require reporting to clients.
  • Engage with client representatives to ensure their expectations are appropriately addressed.
  • Select, set up, and operate equipment to guarantee safe and effective inspection and testing procedures.
  • Ensure accurate material identification through marking, stenciling, numbering, and color coding.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections, as well as non-destructive testing (NDT) and non-destructive evaluation (NDE), in compliance with specified standards.
  • Monitor the condition and performance of equipment, reporting any loss, damage, or misuse.
  • Maintain precise records of all relevant data and outcomes.
  • Classify materials according to established specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive final reports suitable for communication with administrative staff or clients, as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform basic maintenance and manage the ordering of necessary spare parts and consumables.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed to fulfill business needs, ensuring that instructions are reasonable and within the employee's competency.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, and established procedures.
  • Remain vigilant regarding safety and report any hazards to the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) representative.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with MPI / LPI / EMI / UT is essential.

Experience Required:

  • Familiarity with NS-2 / DS-1 Specifications is essential.
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of drilling tubulars and pipe yards is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), is essential.
