Inspection Team Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspection Chargehand to join our team at NOV Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the Inspection Team, ensuring the efficient execution of inspection tasks, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Inspection Team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Inspection Supervisor to develop and implement efficient inspection procedures and protocols.
- Mentor and train junior inspectors to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Verify material descriptions against work orders and assess material suitability for inspection.
- Draw attention to conditions that require reporting to customers and ensure their reasonable expectations are met.
- Properly select, set up, and use equipment to ensure safe and effective inspection and testing.
- Accurately mark, stencil, number, and colour-code materials as required.
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections, NDT, NDE, and related tasks in accordance with specified requirements.
- Monitor equipment condition and performance, and report loss, damage, or misuse.
- Accurately record all relevant information and results.
- Classify materials according to specified requirements.
- Prepare accurate final reports in a suitable format for communication to administrative staff or customers.
- Ensure the working area is kept safe, clean, and orderly.
- Perform basic maintenance and arrange for spares and consumables as required.
- Carry out all duties safely in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training, and instruction.
- Report any safety hazards to the HSE representative.
Requirements:
- MPI/LPI/EMI/UT qualifications are essential.
- NS-2/DS-1 Specifications experience is essential.
- Supervisory experience is essential.
- Knowledge of drilling tubulars and pipe yards is essential.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential.
