Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol National Limited. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students in our SEN and Primary education settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2, providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
  • Work with students who exhibit challenging behaviour, helping to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including assisting with personal care, communication, and social skills.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students feel supported and valued.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources to support lesson plans.
  • Observe and record students' progress, providing feedback to the teacher and contributing to reports and assessments.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn and adapt is key.
  • Must be willing to work in both KS1 and KS2 settings and with students exhibiting challenging behaviour, SEN, or SEMH needs.
  • Able to work full-time or on a supply basis, with flexibility to adapt to the needs of the school.
  • Attributes: Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting the educational and emotional development of students.
  • Must hold a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
