Building Careers UK is a specialist recruitment agency for the construction and property industry. We are working with a leading refrigeration company that caters to the food production industry, seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer to join their team.


Job Description:

As a Commercial Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer, you will be based at the client's site in the North Wales and CH areas, performing planned service works, reactive maintenance, and leak testing on a variety of equipment, including chilled and frozen storage, air handling units, cooling tunnels, ice machines, and air conditioning systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Planned service and repair of small to medium commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Carrying out leak testing and repairs under the F-gas regulations.
  • Reactive maintenance on equipment, including electrical fault finding and repairs.

Requirements:
  • Proven refrigeration service and maintenance experience on medium commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Experience working on larger refrigeration systems, ice machines, air conditioning systems, and retrofitting old systems.
  • Experience and qualifications for working on electrical circuits and fault finding.
  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
  • F-Gas Cat1.

Salary and Benefits:
Our client offers a competitive basic salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000 per year, depending on experience. This position does not require participation in a call-out rota or extensive overtime, making it ideal for an experienced engineer seeking a good work-life balance.
