Cooper Lomaz is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading design house, ensuring mechanical compliance and excellence across multiple projects in the water treatment sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Customisation: Design and customise water treatment equipment as per project specifications, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Project Management: Collaborate with Project/Engineering Managers to establish schedules, meet deadlines, and manage engineering costs.
- Technical Liaison: Serve as the Mechanical Engineering interface between customers and suppliers throughout the project life cycle, including proposals, design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
- Documentation: Manage, review, and issue technical documents, including design calculations, data sheets, and drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Attend and validate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier premises, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Field Support: Provide technical support to field engineers and customers, including occasional site inspections.
Requirements:
- Education: MSc / MEng or BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Water Technology or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Ability to perform fluid hydraulics calculations, structural design and analysis, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, and MS Office programs.
- Professional Development: Membership (or working towards membership) in a relevant engineering institution.
- Personal Qualities: Positive and agile attitude, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
