Job Description

Job Title: NHS Community Clinics Podiatrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality podiatric care to patients with diabetes and complex vascular wounds in an acute secondary care setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement care pathways for patients with diabetes and complex vascular wounds
  • Provide comprehensive specialist assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, and implementation of podiatric care
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to enhance foot care for patients
  • Manage and treat complex wounds, including pressure offloading and wound management
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of national and local priorities and changing trends in specialist podiatry

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) Podiatric Medicine or equivalent
  • HCPC registration and evidence of continued CPD
  • Evidence of postgraduate professional training and experience in high-risk wound management
  • Ability to self-motivate and manage own workload in a busy clinic setting
  • Able to respond to unexpected changes and adopt a flexible approach
