Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our team at Mase Consulting Ltd. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining complex scientific equipment across the South of the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission new equipment at customer sites
- Provide basic operator training to customers
- Perform routine service and calibration work on equipment
- Conduct reactive maintenance, including diagnosis, fault finding, and problem resolution
- Work on equipment ranging from £100K to £2m in value
- Complete service visit reports
- Work to a 2+ week service schedule
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years of service engineering experience (field-based preferably)
- Broad mechanical and electrical exposure
- Experience working on complex equipment, including analytical instruments, optical microscopes, and more
- Strong communication skills and a priority on great customer service
- Related engineering education, including HNC, HND, Degree, or Apprenticeships
- Logical and methodical approach to fault finding
- Flexibility to travel within the UK (40% of your time away from home)
- UK driving license and right to work in the UK
