We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Lead to join our First Response Service, providing 24-hour access to mental health services for individuals of all ages experiencing a mental health crisis.
As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for working closely with community agencies, including the police, ambulance services, and local authorities, to develop short-term contingency plans for those in crisis. You will also be responsible for supporting the wider team and will have expertise in risk assessment and safety planning.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate the shift and allocate work to the team, including referrals or assessments.
- Conduct telephone triage and community face-to-face assessments for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Provide brief clinical risk assessments, mental health formulations, and develop short-term contingency plans for callers using 111 option 2 or referrals from other professionals.
- Work closely with other mental health services, including secondary care teams, primary care mental health, and other acute/crisis services.

Person Specification- Mental Health Nurse Qualification/ NMC Registration.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Mental health care/treatment relevant to service.
- Working with people presenting in mental health crisis.
- Teaching, training, and/or supervision of clinical staff.
- Clinical risk assessment and contingency planning.
- Able to demonstrate commitment to high-quality care and service provision.
