About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Lead Mental Health Practitioner to join our First Response Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating shifts, allocating work to the team, and providing telephone triage and community face-to-face assessments for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities

* Co-ordinate each shift to ensure efficient allocation of work to the team.
* Provide evidence-based clinical interventions, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
* Develop, plan, and implement brief care and treatment interventions for individual patients in liaison with the First Response Service.
* Conduct clinical risk assessments, based on latest empirical evidence and compliant with local policies and procedures.
* Act as the patients and relatives advocate, enabling them to manage disability, loss, and change.
* Champion patients' rights, including dignity, equality, diversity, choice, and respect.

Person Specification

* Essential qualifications: Social work qualification, Mental Health Nurse qualification/NMC registration, evidence of continuing professional development, and undertaken/working towards accredited courses enabling potential Advanced Practitioner registration.
* Desirable qualifications: Advanced Nurse Prescriber qualification/or AMPH qualification, leadership qualification/training.
