About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Home Manager to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Registered Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for providing clear direction, management, and supervision of a great staff team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and management to a team of care professionals
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities
  • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff
  • Develop and implement effective care plans and strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the care team and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure financial sustainability

Requirements:

  • A recognised nursing or social care qualification and registration (as appropriate to the needs of the service)
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent as required for registration
  • Substantial experience in managing care teams / supervisory or management experience in a care environment
  • Strong people and communication skills with excellent customer service
  • Thorough understanding of financial data and ability to manage budgets
  • Experience of a range of different departments i.e. therapies, transport, catering, administration, care and maintenance is advantageous
