Our client is in the process of enhancing their London-based Investment team as they embark on a significant growth trajectory, aiming to allocate approximately £250 million into the Affordable Housing sector across England.
With aspirations to emerge as a leading purpose-driven housing provider in the UK, this position offers a unique chance to be part of a rapidly expanding, agile, and highly motivated team that embodies a start-up mentality.
The goal is to establish a top-tier, vertically integrated investor and manager in living strategies within England. Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will support the core team in evaluating new investment opportunities, preparing presentations, and enhancing team capacity, reporting directly to the Investment Director.
Your daily tasks will include conducting financial assessments of potential investments, identifying those that align with our investment criteria, and assisting in the bidding, negotiation, and execution phases. The investments will encompass both individual transactions and portfolios, utilizing various capital and funding structures to optimize alignment and returns. You will also collaborate with the analyst/associate team of our client's institutional capital partner.
This position allows you to play a crucial role in scaling the platform while developing your skills within a dynamic team backed by institutional investment.
Specific Duties Include:
- Conducting comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to assess potential investment opportunities, including cash flow forecasts, IRR, and ROI evaluations.
- Preparing and delivering investment memorandums and reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring the investment pipeline and serving as the gatekeeper for all deal flow.
- Performing market research to analyze real estate trends, economic indicators, and competitive landscapes to guide investment decisions, supplemented by site visits and collaboration with the asset management team.
- Reviewing legal documents, planning decisions, site plans, and other critical technical information, engaging with team members and consultants to challenge findings and assumptions.
- Assisting in the creation of acquisition bid documentation and transaction-related presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting and eventually coordinating the acquisition execution process, including business plan updates, transaction documents, due diligence budgets, and liaising with key consultants.
- Contributing to the development of investment templates, processes, and underwriting systems to enhance efficiency in the transaction process, facilitating sustainable business growth.
- Monitoring the performance of existing investments and proposing strategies for enhancement.
- Staying updated on the latest developments in real estate markets, construction technologies, and financial regulations.

Qualifications Required:
- Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial modeling and statistical analysis.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adept at simplifying complex information.
- A minimum of one year of full-time experience in real estate, finance, or construction.
- High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Salary Range: £50,000 - £70,000
