About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Marketing Officer to join our team at Up World. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives business growth and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Marketing Team: Manage and motivate a high-performing marketing team to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a marketing strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior and preferences, and use this information to inform marketing decisions.
  • Brand Development: Develop and maintain a strong brand image and tone of voice that resonates with our target audience.
  • Commercial Acumen: Work closely with the commercial team to ensure marketing plans drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget effectively to maximize return on investment.
  • Campaign Execution: Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and offline marketing.
  • Digital Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of digital media and its role in driving brand awareness and sales.
  • Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies and freelancers to support marketing efforts.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a marketing or brand development capacity.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the personal care or FMCG sector, with a passion for sustainability and eco-friendly products.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret multiple data sources to inform narrative and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories and guide the team to create relevant sales stories and consumer messaging.
  • Digital Proficiency: Proficient in digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum.
  • Logistics: Hybrid, 1 day per week in London (+ occasional travel).
