About the Opportunity:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will play a key role in driving quality performance improvements within the Quality team at WestRock. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment to analyze, design, and implement process solutions that enhance quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily department performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze process and quality data to recommend improvement opportunities and optimize processes.
  • Provide technical support for process troubleshooting and optimization analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all documented quality systems and business requirements.
  • Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Measurement System Error Analysis (MSE), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Validations to minimize potential risk during manufacturing activities.
  • Provide statistical support for improvement activities, including sampling plans, capability assessments, and process development.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer for allocated customers, building and maintaining detailed knowledge of customer critical-to-quality standards, manufacturing processes, and managing the resolution of non-conformances.
  • Conduct internal audits to support the business quality management systems.
  • Manage multiple projects related to process improvements and assist in developing a long-term strategy for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication, briefing, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement in Quality and/or Technical, ideally in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous working experience using problem-solving techniques.
  • Desirable knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques.
  • Full driving license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
