Product Visionary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our UK&I Technology team at Sky. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for setting the overall product priorities for a Squad, aligned with the product vision for the Agile Release Train (ART).

• Product Prioritization: Responsible for scoping, writing, and prioritizing stories, managing the short-term and long-term Squad goals, and meeting the larger ART objectives with alignment to the product roadmap.
• Squad Management: Oversees all the work developed across all the members of the Squad, responsible for analysis and writing of user stories for the squad, as well as supports ART level analysis and refinement of Features where required.
• Sprint Planning: Prioritizes stories and defines Sprint backlog and goals for a Squad, guides Story creation and prioritizes stories during PI Planning, and accepts stories and linked Features, by acting on the customer's behalf during the PI.
• Technical Leadership: Works closely with the Squad to provide guidance, provide insight, and give feedback quickly, while also being responsible for final decisions on product functionality.
• Progress Monitoring: Sets the overall priorities for the Squad backlog, in alignment with the product roadmap for the Agile Release Train. Oversees progress against Sprint backlog, to ensure work and priorities are in line with ART Product Roadmap, strategy & goals.
• Communication: Communicates progress to peers and relevant stakeholders.
• Story Definition: Works with the Squad members to define Story requirements and definition.
• Ceremonies Participation: Participates in Squad level ceremonies (e.g., Backlog Refinement, Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo) and ART-level ceremonies (e.g., PI Planning, PO sync).
• Collaboration: Works closely with the Scrum Master to ensure that delivery is on track, and manage any prioritization trade-offs that may need to be made during delivery.

• Business Acumen: Ability to measure and track attainment of committed business objectives.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical analysis skills, with a deep understanding of system integrations.
• Communication Skills: Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between other business and technology teams (e.g., other Squads).
