Job Title: Electrical Shift Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Technician to join our team at Peel Ports Group. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality maintenance services to our heavy plant and equipment.

Your Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities on our heavy plant and equipment. This will involve working with our operations team to prioritize breakdown repairs, using fault-finding diagnostic techniques and equipment to minimize downtime. You will also assist the team with project work, quality assurance systems, and health and safety initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Minimum ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working with heavy plant and equipment in an industrial environment, preferably in Quarrying or Bulk Handling operations
  • Extensive practical experience with relevant plant and equipment, including conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
  • Ability to fault-find and problem-solve using diagnostic equipment
  • Sound working knowledge of Permit to Work systems and incident reporting
  • Desirable: working knowledge of Programmable Logical Control or drive control systems and HV networks, as well as CMMS (e.g. SAP) and document sharing software
