Electrical Network Technician Role

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating plant and equipment across all areas of the Peel Ports electrical networks.

You will ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as any external statutory requirements in relation to health, safety, environment, engineering, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain electrical plant and equipment, including HV and LV distribution systems
  • Create and follow switching plans for LV and HV systems to ensure a safe working environment
  • Fault find, diagnose, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical equipment in a timely manner
  • Help deliver maintenance plan requirements on time, communicating any operational developments or changes to relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience working with LV and HV networks
  • Experience maintaining and operating electrical equipment
  • Extensive fault finding and repair experience
  • Commitment to maintaining Peel Ports health and safety standards
  • Qualification to HNC level (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to work as AP(LV) under the Peel Ports Groups Electrical Safety Rules
