Role Overview:
We are in search of a Sous Chef who will be engaged for 40 hours weekly, with shifts spanning from Monday to Sunday based on operational requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion for gastronomy, possess strong organizational capabilities, and thrive in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Skillfully prepare and cook dishes from a diverse Continental Menu, showcasing grill proficiency.
- Uphold exemplary standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen environment.
- Efficiently manage inventory and stock levels.
- Mentor and nurture junior kitchen staff.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Demi Chef in a professional kitchen, ideally within a hotel context.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques relevant to a Continental Menu.
- Capability to perform manual tasks and operate effectively under pressure.
- A strong sense of pride in your culinary work and exceptional attention to detail.
- Valid Food Safety Certifications.
- Proven track record of success in a similar culinary environment is preferred.
- A collaborative team player and leader, committed to excellence and ensuring memorable guest experiences.
