About the Role
The CareTech Group is seeking an experienced and dedicated Residential Home Manager to lead our team in providing high-quality care and support to young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties, and challenging behavior. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for maintaining a stable, happy, and caring environment that prioritizes the health, safety, and welfare of our young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Ensure that all staff under your supervision are implementing policies and procedures effectively and are meeting expected standards. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Staff Supervision and Appraisal: Provide regular supervision and appraisal to staff, helping to identify training needs and ensuring they are met. Monitor staff absence and ensure that Return to Work interviews are conducted in all cases.
- Communication and Rostering: Ensure effective communication between senior management and all stakeholders. Have primary responsibility for the effective rostering and deployment of staff, ensuring that staff shortfalls are identified and covered within budget.
- Recruitment and Selection: Be involved in the recruitment and selection process of care staff as required.
- Curriculum Planning and Assessment: Ensure that correct procedures are followed by all staff to support young people in their domestic and personal situations, enabling them to promote independence.
Requirements:
