About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service (ELCAS). As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, outcome-informed, systemic family interventions to children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver systemic family interventions to children, young people, and their families, under supervision, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work in partnership with the University of Manchester to complete the AFT-accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Family Practice.
  • Carry a small caseload of suitable training cases and receive high-quality clinical supervision.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, third sector agencies, and University training providers.

ELCAS, part of the Specialist Network, is a specialist provider of mental health services for Children, Young People, and their families, rated Outstanding by the CQC.

Person Specification
  • Professional Registration - Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Relevant honours degree (e.g., Psychology).
  • Ability to meet CYP Psychological Trainings Postgraduate Diploma course requirements.
  • At least two years' experience of working in child and adolescent mental health services.
  • Ability to work autonomously with young people and families.
