Overview of Corporate Services

As the Internal Communications Marketing Specialist, you will be part of Corporate Services, which encompasses Marketing and Communications, Business Support, Infrastructure, and Finance. Other divisions include HR, Retail, and Procurement and Development. These teams play a crucial role in ensuring Glasgow Life operates effectively as a leading charity. From crafting compelling narratives about our initiatives to providing insights that shape our strategies, Corporate Services manages the operation of numerous venues across the city, supporting our frontline staff and generating significant revenue for Glasgow Life through our retail outlets.

Role Responsibilities
In your capacity as the Internal Communications Marketing Specialist, you will be an essential contributor to the Marketing Communications team, leading the implementation and continuous assessment of our internal communications strategy. Reporting to the Communications Lead and collaborating within the Communications team, you will design strategic and tactical internal communications initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of Glasgow Life's organizational goals and ensuring that colleagues feel informed, connected, and engaged. Within the Marketing Communications team, you will thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment alongside colleagues who take pride in their work and contributions.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following attributes:

• Outstanding communication skills with proven experience in developing and executing integrated, multi-channel internal communications strategies and campaigns, ideally within a large, multi-site organization.

• Exceptional writing abilities with a passion for storytelling, along with a solid understanding of internal communications best practices and emerging trends, platforms, and channels.

• Proficient in translating complex and technical information into engaging messaging and content that fosters colleague engagement and nurtures a positive internal culture.

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively: building trust with colleagues and stakeholders, providing credible and authoritative communications guidance, and influencing senior leadership.

• Skilled in interpreting data and insights to evaluate the effectiveness of communications and inform strategic decision-making and content planning.

• A critical thinker: demonstrating sound business judgment with the ability to prioritize effectively and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.


• Detail-oriented with excellent planning and workload management skills.

• Experienced in delivering at a strategic level with a track record in budget management, performance reporting, and team leadership.
