Job Summary:
Kingdom Services Group Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Compliance Officer to join our team. As an Environmental Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' environmental obligations are met, and that our communities are protected from environmental harm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and enforce environmental compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Identify and report environmental contraventions, including littering, fly tipping, and other environmental crimes.
- Issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) to individuals and businesses found to be in breach of environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with local authorities and other stakeholders to address environmental issues and promote community engagement.
- Develop and maintain accurate records of environmental compliance activities, including FPNs issued and evidence collected.
- Attend court proceedings to support prosecutions and provide expert testimony.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations, including the Cleaner Neighbourhoods & Environment Act 2005, Environmental Protection Act 1990, PACE 1984, and RIPA 2000.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in environmental enforcement or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
