To enhance our Water team, we are seeking a Lead Water Systems Engineer. In this role, you will engage in water and wastewater initiatives, which may encompass extensive civil works, micro-tunnelling, subsurface structures, piping systems, supplementary treatment facilities, and various water-related undertakings.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Managing and executing water and wastewater initiatives through all phases of project execution, starting from concept and feasibility to commissioning and project completion. Producing engineering designs, conducting assessments, and verifying work, including the preparation or validation of calculations, reports, and other contractual deliverables. Establishing project controls and tracking progress against timelines. Ensuring that designs, assessments, and verifications comply with current standards, codes of practice, and best practices. Building and nurturing a team of engineers, guiding their advancement towards Chartered status. Coordinating the efforts of external subcontractors and design reviewers. Cultivating and maintaining client relationships through your project engagements. Assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals for Water & Wastewater projects.

Additionally, you will possess:

Chartered Engineer status (MICE, MCIWEM, MIStructE or equivalent). A background in water/wastewater design engineering, working within multidisciplinary teams. The capability to coordinate project teams and oversee project delivery, whether as a client's or contractor's designer. Experience in team development, with the ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers. Key account management experience with clients. Proficiency in hydraulic design, Civil3D, and other industry-standard hydraulic modeling software. Ideally, prior experience in performing designer's project management tasks under NEC3/4 to ensure effective design scheme delivery.
