Job Title: Support Worker Full Time

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Broom Cottage, a residential care home for adults with learning disabilities or autism.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing positive, personalised support and promoting independence for our service users. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualised care plans, ensuring that each person receives the support they need to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to service users, including washing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Support service users to engage in activities and hobbies, promoting independence and social interaction
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualised care plans
  • Monitor and report any changes in service user's condition or behaviour

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care or support role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
