We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Clinical Leadership Consultant Psychiatrist. Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Leadership: Lead the CMHT East team, providing clinical expertise and guidance to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Assume Consultant Responsibility: Take on consultant responsibility during periods of inpatient admission, ensuring seamless care coordination between inpatient and community services.
- Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead on quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation projects, working in partnership with the service manager to drive positive change.
- Teaching and Training: Provide teaching and training to junior doctors, medical students, and other clinical staff, promoting excellence in patient care and professional development.
- Supervision and Support: Offer supervision and support to junior doctors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective communication and collaboration with primary care, other healthcare professionals, and stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and patient-centered care.

Requirements- Education and Qualifications: Fully registered with the GMC, with a license to practice, and inclusion on the Specialist Register (or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date).
- Experience and Skills: Possesses a range of clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the post, with experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team, teaching and training, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Personal Qualities: Demonstrates excellent communication and empathic skills, leadership skills, and the ability to work on own initiative, with a caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to Continuing Medical Education.
