Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) to join our team at Johnson Law Group. As a COLP, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall compliance with the terms and conditions of our SRA authorisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the firm's regulatory requirements are met and maintained.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance of firm's regulatory requirements to ensure firm's ongoing SRA authorisation.
  • Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to the Management Team on compliance matters.
  • Deliver presentations to staff on compliance and client facing quality of service.
  • Keep abreast of all regulatory and other compliance changes.
  • Train staff on compliance and client facing quality of service.
  • Oversee and sign off all lead generation and service advertisements to ensure all relevant SRA marketing requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Must be a qualified solicitor of at least 6 years PQE.
  • 100% office based.
  • Must have had at least two years in a compliance role working in a legal practice dealing with client complaints, KYC and money laundering procedures, and firm wide risk assessments.
  • Preferred: some experience either working as or working alongside a COFA.
Characteristics

We are looking for a dynamic and technically astute individual who is capable of problem solving and thinking outside the box to ensure the ongoing compliance health of the firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering presentations to staff and providing comprehensive reporting to the Management Team.

Salary

The salary for this role is £50,000 – 65,000 per annum.
