Financial Operations Director

Advance HE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the timely and accurate delivery of financial operations across the organisation.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for managing the delivery and execution of high-quality, compliant accounting inputs and outputs. You will work closely with our Finance Business Partners to ensure the effective, efficient, and customer-focused design, adoption/usage and continuous improvement of relevant systems and associated workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery and execution of high-quality, compliant accounting inputs and outputs
- Lead process improvement initiatives, streamline systems and procedures, and optimise digital approaches
- Work closely with our Finance Business Partners to ensure effective, efficient, and customer-focused design, adoption/usage and continuous improvement of relevant systems and associated workflows
- Manage the line management of six finance operations personnel
- Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation, working with confidential and sensitive information
- Strong clear communication skills, able to manage multiple priorities, and be an effective problem solver
- Experience of financial operations and management of operations, including project-based accounting
- Experience in line management of multiple employees
- Experience of leading change, leading people through change and problem solving
- Experience of VAT returns (Partial Exemption VAT advantageous)
- Experience of external Audit and management of
- Strong skills in using MS Office packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI, and Teams
- Qualified accountant, or studying final stages
