About the Role

Fawkes & Reece South is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Oxford. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing tender submissions, PQQs, and EOI's for our regional office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and contribute significantly to tender submissions, PQQs, and EOI's.
  • Work closely with the allocated tender team to prepare, coordinate, respond, and submit compelling tender proposals.
  • Form productive relationships with key managers within each business unit to gather data and support the production of high-quality, substantiated PQQ/tender/bid answers.
  • Undertake a detailed review of the EOI, PQQ, tender, and bid documents to formulate a bid strategy.
  • Write compelling answers to bid questions to the highest standard, with reference to the scoring criteria contained within the bid documentation.
  • Creatively prepare visually compelling proposals and design PQQ/tender submission documents with the support of the wider tender team.
  • Combine the use of software, graphics, and photos to enhance the delivery of the tender proposals.
  • Collaborate with the tender team to ensure all key elements of the bid are incorporated into the submissions.
About the Company

Fawkes & Reece South is a busy Tier 2 main contractor with an annual turnover of circa £70m. We work on a mixture of competitive tenders, negotiated works with repeat clients, and regional frameworks. Our scope of works includes university faculty buildings, local authority schools and colleges, private schools, commercial offices, student accommodation, heritage work, and more.

Requirements
  • You will ideally be degree qualified from a project/contract management background.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Keen technical, commercial, and contractual knowledge, problem-solving ability, initiative, and a positive approach are required.
  • You will possess the ability to assess a scheme and see the larger picture, encompassing the needs of the client, timescales, and budget, local politics, and identify key drivers and potential obstacles.
  • A working knowledge of Asta is a plus.
