Dalkia UK is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working within a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional service to our clients in the motorsport sector. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of shift patterns while ensuring the operational efficiency of electrical systems.
Work Schedule
· Full-time position with a commitment of 40 hours per week, operating Monday through Friday. Shifts include Early (06:00 – 14:30), Day (08:00 – 17:00), and Late (13:30 – 22:00).
· On-call responsibilities will be required approximately 7-9 weeks annually on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with established schedules and protocols, ensuring compliance with engineering standards to enhance the reliability and performance of electrical and mechanical systems.
· Uphold engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
· Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
· Address all electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
· Coordinate initial responses to client requests and manage interactions with specialist subcontractors for maintenance tasks.
· Respond to emergency situations and breakdowns related to electrical and mechanical services as necessary.
· Conduct fault diagnosis for both PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
· Perform repairs and maintenance on lighting and distribution systems.
· Collaborate with other trades as required, demonstrating flexibility across disciplines.
· Provide detailed reports regarding maintenance activities and equipment status as needed.
· Undertake additional duties as assigned by the client.
· Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the safe and efficient completion of all tasks.
· Develop a foundational understanding of site systems and their interconnections.
· Carry out LSP duties in accordance with relevant guidelines when necessary.
Qualifications
Essential
· Completion of C&G part 1 & 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or an equivalent qualification.
· Training in Health and Safety, including familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
· GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Mathematics and English.
· Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly in fault diagnosis and rectification.
· Familiarity with electrical aspects of general building maintenance schedules.
· Experience in electrical installation, testing, and inspection.
· Solid understanding of critical and non-critical building systems.
· Proficiency in using CAFM PPM Management Systems (Concept) via handheld devices.
Desirable
· C&G Electrical Inspection and Testing certification (or equivalent).
· Knowledge of the 18th Edition IEE Electrical Regulations.
· Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS).
· Basic mechanical knowledge.
· Awareness of COSHH regulations and safe handling of substances.
