Our client, a global data centre services organisation, is seeking experienced multi-skilled building services or data centre engineers to join their team at a State-of-the-Art Critical Environment in Woking. The role involves routine and reactive maintenance to electrical and mechanical systems in a highly critical environment.

The sites are co-location, housing servers for blue chip, household name organisations, and it is essential that they maintain 100% uptime. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and ensuring all Critical Facility PPM's are carried out to schedule and also ensuring completion of all reactive works requests, ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA's.

The ideal candidate will have a risk-focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments. They will ensure all critical client services, computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing, and revenue-earning services meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and ensuring all Critical Facility PPM's are carried out to schedule
  • Ensuring completion of all reactive works requests, ensuring closing and completion in line with SLA's
  • Applying a risk-focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in data centres/critical environments
  • Ensuring all critical client services, computer rooms, data networks, manufacturing, and revenue-earning services meet client requirements
  • Providing emergency response standby, call out, and escalating urgent issues
  • Completion of records and logs required to demonstrate delivery of maintenance requirements
  • Controlling and supervising contractors when required
  • Emergency lighting testing
  • All Electrical work including lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS, lighting systems, and Heat exchangers

The successful candidate will have trade-trained experience in the building services, ideally 3 years', and City & Guilds Qualified Electrical Level 3. Experience in critical sites (Data Centre or Banking Sites) and good building services knowledge are also essential.
