Senior Process Safety Specialist

Our client, a leading engineering division, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Safety Specialist to ensure legislative compliance on FEED and EPC projects. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of British and International standards and best practices for process safety engineering, with the ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines within a project office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical safety work scopes and contribute to project safety assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety evaluations and hazard analysis to identify potential risks.
- Utilize consequence modeling tools, such as DNVGL PHAST, to assess potential hazards.
- Develop and maintain high-quality engineering documents, including proposals, terms of reference, HAZOP reports, LOPA reports, and safety assessment reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive engineering experience in the process industry, particularly in Oil & Gas and/or Chemicals.
- Proficiency in consequence modeling and hazard analysis.
- Knowledge of Hazardous Area Assessment according to EI Part 15, BS EN 60079 Part 10, and IGEM/SR/25.
