The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Production Chemist to join our experienced team. In this role, you will contribute to the preparation, formulation, and packaging of our unique gold and silver nanoparticle products. Your responsibilities will include chemical synthesis, quality control (ISO:9001), and production scheduling, providing opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate the production, packaging, and despatch of our cosmetics products.
- Prepare and formulate bespoke samples and new product development.
- Characterise and analyse nanoparticle batches and maintain accurate batch records.
- Ensure production needs are consistently met and support continuous scale-up optimisation.
- Assist product development and prototyping, ensuring quality control and compliance with international standards (ISO:9001:2015).
- Communicate progress and achievements through detailed reports and presentations, engaging with stakeholders across various platforms.
- Advanced degrees (BSc/BEng, Masters) in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science and related fields.
- 2-3 years of experience in a chemical workspace, either academic or professional.
- Compliance with health and safety practices in the workplace.
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, GAMS, Excel, and other related data analysis tools.
- Project management and budgeting skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset.
- A competitive base salary of £25k - £30k, dependent on experience, with a performance-based structure.
