About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our Patient Level Costing System (PLICS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Health Board's PLICS system, developing costing data, and engaging with clinicians to ensure effective utilization of the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the ongoing development and maintenance of the PLICS system
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting and Business Intelligence to ensure PLICS information is accessible across the Health Board
  • Develop existing costing data to enhance data quality and processes
  • Ensure PLICS is part of the wider Health Board value-based agenda, engaging with clinicians to develop pilot projects that link to outcomes and value
  • Manage the Costing IT infrastructure and develop a sustainable plan for costing IT
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with substantial experience in costing practices, delivering high-quality information to challenging deadlines, and leading teams in a demanding environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team in delivering the implementation of a replacement costing system, liaising with other Health Boards and the NHS Wales Executive.
