Job Summary:

Torfaen County Borough Council is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Compliance and Claims team as a Senior Compliance and Claims Officer. The successful candidate will provide senior support for Shared Prosperity Funded programmes, including financial management and monitoring of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and implement programme systems to monitor project budgets and output indicators.
  • Prepare and present financial and monitoring reports to the Group Leader for Skills, Employability and ACL.
  • Manage and monitor projects involving financial and qualitative data sets and externally funded projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from different service areas to ensure effective communication and project delivery.

Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent in finance or a related field, or suitable relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in IT products, including Excel, MS Access, and SQL.
  • Experience in line management and finance and monitoring systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2, Agile) or equivalent experience.
