Job Title: Risk Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Officer to join our Corporate Risk Management Department (CRM) at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our economic capital and stress testing models, conducting corporate and sector-specific stress tests, and analyzing the economic capital treatment for new products and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IFC's economic capital and stress testing models.
  • Conduct stress tests and analyze the results to inform risk-based decision making.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain relationships and facilitate the management of IFC's financial risks.
  • Support the estimation and validation of risk parameters, such as default probabilities and loss estimates.
  • Provide expert advice to internal clients on economic capital treatment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, or quantitative finance (or equivalent skills).
  • At least 5 years of work experience in a quantitative role within a financial institution.
  • Experience handling large economic and financial data sets, as well as developing and applying statistical approaches.
  • Experience building or working with quantitative models, preferably in areas such as stress testing and economic capital.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to document complex analyses and statistical results.
