About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pastoral Officer to join our team at Plumstead Manor School. As a key member of our pastoral team, you will work closely with Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of Year to provide exceptional support to students and maintain high standards of discipline and behaviour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor attendance and punctuality across a particular cohort
  • Develop and implement pastoral support programs for individual students
  • Support Heads of Year in following up behaviour incidents
  • Supervise student detentions and independent study periods
  • Provide restorative mediation for students
  • Liaise with internal and external agencies to ensure tailored support programs
  • Attend multidisciplinary forums to discuss student welfare
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Level 3 qualification and at least a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths. A suitable qualification in education, social work, mediation, or youth work is desirable. You will also need to have experience working with young people in Key Stages 3, 4, or 5, as well as competent ICT skills.
