About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to join our team as a Trainee Health Screener. As a screener, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by conducting eye screenings and providing a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct eye screenings for patients with diabetes to detect any potential eye problems
- Administer eye drops to enlarge pupils and take photographs of the back of the eyes
- Identify patients requiring urgent onward referral and maintain accurate records
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients throughout the screening process
Requirements
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Full driving license and access to a car for travel to and from clinics
