About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our ophthalmology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures and treatments.
- Assist qualified nurses and healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe environment in the ophthalmology department.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in ophthalmology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of ophthalmic procedures and treatments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
