Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Writer to join our team at Clearwater People Solutions Ltd. As a Bid Writer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our company's knowledge bank for bid writing, as well as supporting and coaching our existing bid Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the company's knowledge bank for bid writing: This will involve researching and orchestrating responses from all disciplines to formulate responses to tenders, as well as developing new content for potential reuse.
  • Support and coach the bid Coordinator: You will work closely with the bid Coordinator to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their role effectively.
  • Prepare written editorial content: You will be responsible for preparing written content for inclusion in case studies, brochures, award submissions, marketing materials, event invites, and client handouts.
  • Conduct research and analysis: You will conduct research and analysis to develop technical information contributing towards bid content, as well as identifying and re-working existing pre-written content where relevant.
  • Deliver contract-winning bids: You will work closely with the team to deliver contract-winning bids through bid writing and coordination of the elements required to complete a bid.

Requirements:

  • Strong writing skills: You will have excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-written bids.
  • Attention to detail: You will have a high level of attention to detail, with the ability to ensure that all bids are accurate and free of errors.
  • Communication skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders and all levels of seniority.
  • Business acumen: You will have a reasonable level of business acumen and industry understanding, with the ability to develop and maintain our company's knowledge bank for bid writing.
  • Experience: You will have working experience in writing, preparing, or coordinating business proposals or bids, as well as experience in the planned maintenance, refurbishment, renewables, retrofit, or construction industry.
  • Organizational skills: You will have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work in a team and meet deadlines under pressure.
