About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Register Officer to join our team at North Devon District Council. As a key member of the Devon Home Choice Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and fair allocation of affordable housing in our coastal housing market area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess applications to the Devon Home Choice Register and for affordable ownership opportunities
- Undertake housing register management functions, ensuring compliance with policy and planning agreements
- Work collaboratively with services to deliver our wider housing and Council priorities
- Represent the Council and Devon Home Choice Partnership in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualification/experience
- Understanding of local authority housing allocation functions
- Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand complex information and assess within a Policy framework
- Ability to organise and prioritise your own workloads
