We are seeking a skilled and experienced Housing Register Officer to join our team at North Devon District Council. As a key member of the Devon Home Choice Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and fair allocation of affordable housing in our coastal housing market area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess applications to the Devon Home Choice Register and for affordable ownership opportunities
  • Undertake housing register management functions, ensuring compliance with policy and planning agreements
  • Work collaboratively with services to deliver our wider housing and Council priorities
  • Represent the Council and Devon Home Choice Partnership in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths, or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Understanding of local authority housing allocation functions
  • Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand complex information and assess within a Policy framework
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your own workloads
