A challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Transportation Optimization Specialist to join Winsearch in Ellesmere Port.
About the Role- Develop and implement transportation plans and routes to optimize and maximize profitability.
- Manage and coordinate the activity of fleet managers, monitoring routes and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Prepare the drivers' activity according to schedules, holidays, and legal regulations, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Analyze and define budget volumes and transport forecasts to inform business decisions.
- Creation of reports and management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to optimize the load rate and improve operational efficiency.
- Initiate the development of new reporting tools to standardize results summaries for all group, ensuring data-driven decision making.
- Previous experience working in a planning role, preferably in the logistics industry.
- Experience using a transportation planning system, with a strong understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
- Well-versed with Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and analyze data.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills, and conflict management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivation and drive for results, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality work.
- An ability to work with minimum supervision, with a high level of autonomy and independence.
- Ability to make timely and well-judged decisions under pressure and with conflicting requests, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
