About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to join our team at bet365. As a key member of our IT Operations team, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring our key infrastructure, supporting our live production environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of our website.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to early warnings raised via our Networks Operations Centre, ensuring that alerts are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate service-affecting incidents, ensuring that our production systems are functioning correctly.
- Communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders when dealing with escalated issues.
- Log requests for change and incidents in our Remedy ticketing system.
- Measure the impact of system, policy, or procedural change and provide prompt and accurate feedback.
- Coordinate planned maintenance work and check for scheduling clashes for all high-risk changes.
- Act as the first point of contact for our production IT service and associated infrastructure for internal departments and senior members of staff.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent ability to multitask.
- Proactive, with the ability to make and act on decisions when under pressure.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with high attention to detail.
- Concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Quick learner with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Working knowledge of computer networking and Cisco technologies.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
