About the Role:
The Student Liaison Officer will play a vital role in supporting tutors in monitoring and tracking student attendance and punctuality. This role requires a high level of pastoral support to students who struggle to maintain regular attendance or are at risk of failing their course.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in maintaining high attendance levels and ensuring they remain on their course and are successful
- Assist tutors in tracking and following up on student attendance on a daily basis
- Maintain a reporting system for student attendance and behavior
- Act as a link between tutors, students, and parents
- Monitor and work with students whose attendance falls below agreed levels
- Drive the disciplinary process, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, tutors, and parents. A high level of discretion and confidentiality is required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
