POSITION: Regional Safety and Health Consultant

EMPLOYER: Prominent National Grocery Chain

WORK LOCATION: Liverpool with travel to various regional locations

SALARY RANGE: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum

Our client, a prominent national grocery chain, is looking for a Regional Safety and Health Consultant to enhance their team. In this role, you will assist the Manager in executing the organization's health and safety framework across their retail outlets and regional distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities of the Regional Safety and Health Consultant:

Serve as a qualified individual within your designated area concerning health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and trading regulations.

Oversee the organization's response to any regulatory actions within the regions.

Collaborate with regional teams (Store Operations, Regional Warehouse, Transport, Real Estate, Office functions, and National Departments) to ensure that health and safety, fire safety, food safety, and trading regulations are thoroughly addressed.

Perform Store Risk Assessments, Workplace Transport Risk Assessments, and Fire Risk Assessments.

Conduct audits and inspections as per the established schedule across various retail locations and distribution centers.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Comfortable presenting to groups, possessing strong communication, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

Must hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for field-based responsibilities.

Engage with external service providers, including contractors, regarding health, safety, and fire risk management as necessary.

Address inquiries from third parties and local authorities concerning regulatory issues.

Conduct investigations into significant work-related incidents (reportable incidents) and provide guidance on necessary injury/harm prevention initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

Demonstrated experience in the retail or logistics industry.

Proven background as a Safety and Health Consultant in a multi-site capacity.

Qualified with a NEBOSH General Certificate or higher.

Full UK Driving License.
