ROLE: Regional Health & Safety Advisor

COMPANY: Leading National Supermarket

LOCATION: Liverpool with travel to regional sites

SALARY: £35-50,000 PA



Our client, a leading national supermarket chain, is seeking a Regional Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. As a Regional Health & Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager in implementing the company's health and safety strategy across their stores and regional distribution centres.


Regional Health & Safety Advisor Responsibilities Included:

- Act as a competent person within your area of responsibility with regards to health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law.

- Coordinate the company’s response to any enforcement interventions within Regions.

- Engage with the Regional teams (Store Operations, Regional Warehouse, Transport, Real Estate, Office functions and National Departments) to ensure health & safety, fire safety, food safety and trading law requirements are properly and fully considered.

- Conduct Store Risk Assessments, Workplace Transport Risk Assessment and Fire Risk Assessments.

- Conduct audits and inspections according to the agreed frequency across various stores and RDCs.


Skills and Attributes:

- Must be comfortable presenting to groups, therefore will need to possess excellent communication, attention to detail, time management and organisation skills.

- Must hold a full driving licence and have access to their vehicle to complete field-based work.

- Liaise with third party service providers including contractors with respect to health, safety and fire risks as required.

- Respond to third party and local authority queries in relation to regulatory challenges.

- Undertake investigations of any major work-related incidents (reportable incidents) and advise on any required injury/ harm prevention programmes.


Requirements:

- Proven track record in the retail or logistics sector

- Proven experience as Health & Safety Advisor in a multi-site role

- Qualified to NEBOSH General Certificate level or higher

- Full UK Drivers’ License
