Lead Civil Engineering Specialist

Are you a seasoned professional in civil engineering? Carrington West is on the lookout for a committed and skilled Senior Civil Engineer to manage and contribute to the design of a variety of infrastructure initiatives. These initiatives are primarily focused in the southern regions of England, with a central hub in Hampshire, occasionally extending to various sites across the UK.
As a vital member of the civil engineering division, your responsibilities will include the design of highway and drainage systems for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. It is essential that you possess expertise in both road (Section 38 & 278) and drainage (Section 104) design, as well as proficiency in software such as Microdrainage, Site3D, and AutoCAD.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in steering projects from inception to completion, which includes developing drainage assessments and incorporating Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) in alignment with Local/Water Authority regulations. A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, ideally at the degree level, is required. Professional recognition (CEng or IEng) would be advantageous.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- The ability to work independently or collaboratively within the design team.
- Skills to delegate tasks to team members and mentor junior staff.
- Current knowledge of technical standards.
- Strong time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in client engagement and participation in design team meetings.
- The ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- A valid UK Driving Licence.
