About the Role
At Turning Point, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Crisis Support Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will provide emotional support and a listening ear to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to support individuals in recovery.
- Work collaboratively with service users to identify risk factors and safeguard their well-being.
- Complete accurate record keeping and contribute to service monitoring requirements.
- Ensure the service is represented in a professional manner at all times.
- Contribute to the co-development of the service by supporting service user, family, and carer involvement.
Requirements
- Experience in the mental health sector, with a proven track record of supporting individuals in distress.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A calm and professional attitude, with the ability to stay focused and alert during busy shifts.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
