Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead an integrated design and build project team in the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of water and wastewater projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, within the specified timeframe, and within the tender estimate, while maintaining a high level of safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and technicians to deliver projects successfully.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure that project requirements are met and expectations are managed.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects to ensure that they are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that projects are delivered to the required quality standards, and that any non-conformities are reported and addressed promptly.
- Commercial Management: Manage the commercial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and estimating.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that projects are delivered in a safe and healthy environment, and that all relevant health and safety regulations are complied with.
- Technical Knowledge: Maintain a working knowledge of technical disciplines associated with delivering water and wastewater design and build projects.
- Project Delivery: Ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards, and that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted.
Requirements:
- Previous Project Management Experience: Proven experience in project management, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of CDM and construction health and safety regulations.
- Qualifications: Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a construction or engineering-related discipline.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in close partnership with clients and end-users.
- Delivery Driven: Must be delivery-driven, with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Extensive Experience: Extensive experience in medium to large-scale project delivery.
Desirable:
- Experience of WTWs & STWs: Experience of working on water treatment works and sewage treatment works.
- Experience in Using Primavera or Planning Software: Experience in using project management software, such as Primavera or planning software.
- Chartered or Near Chartered: Chartered or near chartered in a construction discipline.
- Knowledge and Experience of Off-Site Construction Techniques: Knowledge and experience of off-site construction techniques.
