Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Drama Teacher to join our team at Devonshire Hayes Recruitment Specialists Ltd. This role is essential in fostering a love for the performing arts among students and enhancing their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire students and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage student participation and enthusiasm for Drama, ensuring that all learners find joy in the subject.
  • Enhance student performance and interest in Drama throughout the Academy.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including parents, educational institutions, and community partners.

Student Engagement:
Focus on the planning, execution, and enhancement of the Drama curriculum along with extracurricular activities.

Collaboration with Staff:
Work alongside the Drama Subject Leader and other departments to integrate Drama into the Academy's ethos and elevate the subject's profile.

Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in Academy-wide initiatives related to Drama, including transitions from KS2 to KS3, enrichment programs, and interdisciplinary planning.

Accountabilities:
  • Ensure that all students reach their full potential by designing and delivering dynamic and challenging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain high standards of student behavior and achievement, fostering strong relationships with learners.
  • Track and assess student progress using effective assessment strategies in line with Academy policies.
  • Stay informed about advancements in Drama education and continuously develop your subject knowledge.
  • Support the Drama Subject Leader in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Contribute to the Academy's policies and practices, promoting equality and opportunity for all.
  • Engage in the broader life of the Academy, including organizing enrichment activities such as trips and extracurricular clubs.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with parents, community organizations, and local entities.
  • Play a pivotal role in enhancing the Academy's Drama offerings.
  • Ensure that Drama facilities are conducive to a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Undertake additional duties as required by the Drama Subject Leader or Senior Leadership Team.
