We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Drama Teacher to join our team at Devonshire Hayes Recruitment Specialists Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Drama, fostering a love for the performing arts among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire students to appreciate and excel in Drama.
- Enhance student participation and enjoyment in theatrical activities.
- Promote the significance of Drama within the educational framework and among the wider community.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including parents and educational partners, to enrich the Drama program.
Student Engagement:
Design and implement a comprehensive Drama curriculum that includes enrichment opportunities and supports student development.
Collaboration with Staff:
Work alongside the Drama Subject Leader and other educators to integrate Drama into the Academy's ethos and elevate its profile.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in Academy initiatives related to Drama, including cross-curricular projects and transition programs.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure all students reach their potential through dynamic lesson planning and delivery tailored to diverse learning needs.
- Maintain high standards of student behavior and achievement while fostering positive relationships.
- Utilize Assessment for Learning strategies to track and report on student progress in line with Academy policies.
- Stay informed about advancements in Drama education and implement relevant practices.
- Support the Drama Subject Leader in curriculum development and implementation.
- Contribute to the Academy's policies and practices, particularly those promoting equality and inclusivity.
- Engage in the broader life of the Academy by organizing and leading extracurricular activities, including trips and clubs.
- Build and maintain partnerships with parents, community organizations, and local stakeholders.
- Play a vital role in enhancing the Academy's Drama offerings.
- Ensure that Drama facilities provide a stimulating and safe environment for learning.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Drama Subject Leader or Senior Leadership Team.
